The Counting Method

+1 = you started, no matter how small.

The idea

+1 = you started. No streaks, no goals, no pressure — you're just noting that you began something, however small.

How to log something

Tap + on anything — a pill or a deck card — to add it to your Cart. Tap + again to add another; takes one back. Nothing is saved yet.

When you're ready, hit Check Out to save everything to your sheet in one go. On the Check Out screen you can also pick an earlier day before saving — handy for logging something you did yesterday.

Ways to find an activity

Tap any pill to pick it. The deck at the top deals six random ideas (tap the shuffle button for a fresh set). On a category card, the dice button picks one at random and the arrow steps through them one at a time. Or use search and the Jump to chips to go straight to something.

Added one too many?

Before you check out, tap to remove one from the cart, or Clear all selections to empty it. Already saved it? Use History (at the top) to fix the date or delete an entry.

Jotting a note

Open History and tap Note on any entry to add a line of context — how it went, why, a quick number, anything. Notes attach to that one entry, so if you logged something three times you can note each occasion on its own. Leave it blank to clear it. Your notes are searchable here too.

Adding your own activity

Every category has a small box at the bottom — type something and tap Add. It's logged right away and saved as an option for next time.

Groups

A group is a named shortcut to a set of activities you already have — "Morning," "Night," whatever. Tapping a group chip highlights those activities wherever they live (nothing is moved or copied), so you can glance across categories and log just the ones you did. Tap it again to clear.

Renaming, moving, removing

Tap on any pill, category, or group to rename, move, or remove it. Removing just archives it — nothing is deleted, and you can restore it anytime.

The Manage menu

Use + New to add an activity, category, or group. Manage holds the tidy-up tools: reorder categories or groups, bulk-select activities to move or remove, browse Archived items, and export a backup of your data. The bell at the top sets your email reminders.

Seeing your day & patterns

Three views sit at the top. Today shows what you've logged today at a glance. History is your whole log — browse it, filter by category or time, search, and fix, note, or remove any entry. View Dashboard opens your charts — totals, categories, and rhythms over time. All just for noticing, never a scoreboard.

Made a mistake?

Open History at the top and delete it — you'll get a moment to undo.

Archived

Removed activities, categories, and groups. Tap Restore to bring something back, or Delete permanently if you're sure you don't want it recoverable anymore — your logged history for it is untouched either way.

History

Your whole log — browse it, narrow by category or time, or search. Fixing a date or removing a mistake here changes the entry itself; you'll get a moment to undo a removal.
