The Counting Method · last updated 13 July 2026

The Counting Method is a small, personal habit tracker. It exists to help you notice what you did — not to harvest your data. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we don't track you across the web. Here's plainly what happens with your information.

What we store

How we use it

Only to run the app for you: to save and sync your entries, and to send the gentle reminder emails if you turn them on. That's it — no profiling, no advertising, no resale.

Where it lives, and who helps run it

Your data is stored in a database provided by Supabase. A few other trusted services help the app run, and only ever see what they need to do their job:

We don't share your data with anyone else.

Your choices

The demo

If you use the “Try the demo” mode, nothing is sent to us at all — the sample data lives only in your own browser and disappears when you leave. No account, no server storage.

Cookies & browser storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to run the demo. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

This isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Nothing surprising — the spirit stays the same.
